Brett Weston
Brett Weston was born in 1911 in Los Angeles, California. He was son to famous photographer Edward Weston. Weston attended school until he was 14 then his father pulled him out of school so he could go with him to Edwards studio in Mexico. It was here where Brett began to take pictures.
Brett started out with a Graflex 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 camera. He worked as a cameraman for twentieth fox century, a sculptor, photographer, and was drafted into the war. He later started using an 8×10 and 11×14 view camera. He was said to be a bigger success then his father,Edward.
Brett didn’t take many, if any, pictures of people. He pretty much stayed basically with landscape. He also hardly used color. He was big fan of black and white which was what attracted me to his pictures. I am a big fan of black and white. The only difference is I am a bigger fan of people pictures than landscape pictures.
Why I’m taking this course
I want to take this course because while I am interested in things like photography and Photoshop and things of that nature mostly for me it is just for the simple fact that I want to learn more about the computer. I personally think that I know, not necessarily quite a bit, but some about computers so anytime a new program come up that I have yet to use I want to dive in and learn as much about it as possible. I have never used photoshop before so it’s going to be a fun and probably frustrating experience for me.
